Siltech Mais

Inoculant, silaging agent (bacterial additive) for production of maize silage (of whole plants, moist grain, and cobes – with husk or CCM). High bacterial count: 3×1011 CFU/g

Description

A highly concentrated inoculant (silaging agent) for silaging of maize as whole plants, grain, or cobes, containing lactic acid fermentation bacteria (LAB) in the amount of 3×1011 CFU/g.

The use of Siltech Mais:

  • Reduces a risk of silage spoiling.
  • Inhibits mould and yeast growth in silage.
  • Increases aerobic stability of silage.
  • Increases energy content in silage – Lactobacillus buchneri species produces an energy compound, polypropylene glycol.

Bacteria:

  • Lactobacillus buchneri, Pediococcus acidilactici
  • Total bacterial count: 3x1011 11 CFU/g

Available packs: 100 g /50–100 tonnes of silage.

Maize - whole plants: 100 g/100 tonnes of silaged material.

Maize - grain, cobes: 100 g/50 tonnes of silaged material.

Powdered formulation to be applied as a water solution in a quantity of 100 g of the formulation per 10-50 litres of pure water. The volume of water used depends on the applicator capacity and a method for introducing bacterial solution. Apply with an applicator installed on the harvesting equipment or spray layers formed on a heap or in a silo. Before use, the applicator must be clean.
